DAY 1 : LABUAN BAJO – DINTOR – DENGE – WAE REBO VILLAGE (L/D)
Labuan Bajo to Wae Rebo Village is approximately 120 km. Our team will pick you up from your hotel around 07.00 AM before starting the overland journey to Wae Rebo. Along the way, we will pass through Melo Village, located on the slopes of Mount Mbeliling. Enjoy the scenic drive through winding hills, lush landscapes, and panoramic mountain views. The adventure continues as we head toward Nangalili Village, where the road becomes more adventurous — all part of the authentic Wae Rebo experience. Our first stop will be at Cunca Plias Waterfall, where you can relax and enjoy the natural surroundings before continuing to Dintor Village for lunch and a short break. Lunch will be served with Indonesian local cuisine. You will also have time to change clothes, use the bathroom, or take a quick shower before the trek begins. After arriving at Denge Village, our car will stop and we will continue by local motorbike shuttle (ojek) to the trekking starting point. The trek to Wae Rebo takes approximately 2–3 hours through tropical forest trails. The path is narrow but safe, with a steady uphill climb. Good physical condition and comfortable trekking shoes are recommended. Along the way, enjoy the fresh mountain air, dense forest atmosphere, and enchanting scenery. Our local guide will accompany you throughout the trek. Upon arrival at Wae Rebo Village, we will take a short rest before joining the traditional welcome ceremony at the main communal house. This ceremony is an important cultural tradition where visitors are officially welcomed by the village elders and ancestors through symbolic rituals and prayers. Our guide will assist and explain the meaning of the ritual, which reflects respect, safety, and blessings during your stay in the village. After the ceremony, check in to the guest house for an overnight stay. Basic electricity is available for charging phones before the village electricity is turned off later at night. In the evening, enjoy dinner together with local families and fellow travelers. Meals usually consist of traditional Indonesian dishes such as rice, chicken, vegetables, and local specialties cooked over a wood fire. After dinner, we will visit local houses to learn more about the daily life, architecture, philosophy, and cultural symbols of the Manggarai people. Around 11.00 PM, the village becomes completely quiet as all electricity is turned off, allowing you to fully experience the peaceful atmosphere of Wae Rebo under the night sky.
DAY 2 : SUNRISE AT WAE REBO – TREK DOWN – NUCA MOLAS ISLAND – LABUAN BAJO (B/L)
Wake up around 06.00 AM to enjoy the magical sunrise atmosphere over Wae Rebo Village. After a simple breakfast with coffee or tea, spend time walking around the village, interacting with the local community, and learning more about their traditional way of life before leaving the village. Afterward, begin the trek down via the same route back to Denge Village, which takes approximately 1.5–2 hours. Continue by local motorbike shuttle to the main parking area before driving to Dintor Village to prepare for the island excursion. From Dintor, we continue by local shuttle boat to Nuca Molas Island, also known as Mules Island — a hidden paradise in the southern waters of East Nusa Tenggara. True to its name, meaning “beautiful island” in the Manggarai language, Nuca Molas offers pristine beaches, crystal-clear waters, and a peaceful atmosphere far from the crowds. The boat ride itself is a memorable experience, featuring stunning ocean panoramas and views of the iconic lighthouse standing against the horizon. Enjoy free time on the island to relax, swim, take photos, or simply soak in the untouched beauty of this hidden destination. After all activities, we sail back to Dintor Village and continue the drive back to Labuan Bajo. Estimated arrival is around 05.00 PM, followed by hotel drop-off.
