We will pick you up at your hotel and head towards the Cunca Wulang waterfall, in a journey of approximately an hour and a half from Labuan Bajo. Along the way, we will make several stops to take pictures, enjoy the scenery and learn about the local lifestyle, interacting with the communities in the area. One of the stops will be in the village of Culu, where you can observe the traditional process of making local alcoholic beverages, extracted from palm juice. The entire process – from fermentation to distillation – is carried out in an artisanal way, following ancestral techniques. Afterwards, we will continue to the village of Wersawe, the starting point for a short hike to the waterfall. The trek takes approximately 45 minutes through the primary forest, until you reach the impressive Wulang Cunca. There you can swim, relax or even jump from the rocks into the natural pond. After enjoying the surroundings, we will return to Wersawe along the same path. A route that is framed by idyllic paddy fields in different stages of their planting and harvesting cycle. Vanilla, coffee, candlenut and cacao can also be seen along the trail, the final, steepest part of the trek leads you through a section of lush tropical rain forest. The local guide from wersawe villiage will be glad to show you the best trails and places in the canyon, Upon arrival back at the village, you will live a unique cultural experience: a presentation of the Caci Dance, performed by local villagers.
